Christian Theater Troupe Spends $90,440 on Ad Bashing Kathy Griffin’s ‘Jesus’ Speech
PIGEON FORGE, Tenn. – Members of a Christian theater troupe are spreading the word that they’re irate about Kathy Griffin’s off-color speech in accepting a creative arts Emmy earlier this month. The Miracle Theater in Pigeon Forge spent $90,440 on a full-page advertisement in USA Today that ran nationally Monday, proclaiming “enough is enough.”
Excuse me?
Are they simply stupid or are they trying to bring down the wrath of the same Jesus they proclaim they are “defending?”
Satan must be busting his gut laughing.
Do you have any idea what $90,440 could do in a country like Brasil, India or China to tell people about Jesus? Do you have any concept how many people could be brought into the Kingdom with funds like that?
If you don’t like the idea of evangelism, do you have any idea how many hungry children could be fed with that kind of money? We’re talking extended bellies, worm-infested, round-eyed, dirty, starving (literally) kids. In Ubaúna alone we could feed the 300 children we’re trying to care for every single day for an entire year!
All this money and fanfare did was to show the world how stupid we Jesus people are – “you insult my religion and I’ll throw $90,440 into the toilet to show you how mad I am!” Yeah, that’s showing them!
Why is the American church a castrated eunuch with no power to seek and save the lost? I think this propaganda ploy illustrates it nicely.
Pardon me while I try to decide if I want to cry or throwup…
