Most folks don’t feel like they really have any value; most feel worthless.
Get them alone where they don’t have to pretend, where they feel safe, and you hear the truth. Yesterday I dealt with six people; five admitted that they were worthless.
Sad.
The truth is that they, me, you, have been given something of extreme value. We simply don’t believe it.
Just because we believe something is true doesn’t make it so. Or, inversely, just because we believe something to be false doesn’t make it so.
We have been given a dang good downpayment on being valuable. It matters not what you want to call it.
It’s in Christ that you, once you heard the truth and believed it (this Message of your salvation), found yourselves home free—signed, sealed, and delivered by the Holy Spirit. This signet from God is the first installment on what’s coming, a reminder that we’ll get everything God has planned for us, a praising and glorious life.
I’ve seen it play out scores of times over the last few months — person feels worthless; confronts it; expels it; senses their true worth.
Signed, sealed, delivered. No exceptions. Happens every time…
