I sometimes am amazed at how stupid people can be. Honestly.

We all know of the antics of stupid crooks, stupid employees and stupid officials. What most amazes me is the stupidity of people who care about you, or at least claim to care about you. They do things that they think will help you with a problem you may have. The end result is that they make the problem worse and actually get mad at you because the problem got worse with their interference.

As I am reveling in the stupidity of folks this afternoon, this came to mind:

Become wise by walking with the wise; hang out with fools and watch your life fall to pieces. –Proverbs 13:20

Or, perhaps just as appropriately:

Fools are undone by their big mouths; their souls are crushed by their words. –Proverbs 18:7

If it wasn’t so serious, it would be comical…
