Friday will be a big day.
Lots to do before heading to the interior. Our original transportation fell through (actually, went out of business — the bus company we’d hired has literally disappeared off the face of the earth), so we’re working on Plan B. How do you transport 12 people (6 Americans and 6 Brasilians), 25 bags (the majority weighing 50-60 pounds), food for a week, hammocks and miscellaneous gear 150 miles over potholed highways? Plan B has become real important!
Money changed, food to be bought, Bibles and some audio-visual stuff to find, phone calls made; lots to be taken care of on Friday.
We’re hoping for a really good night’s rest tonight, after the crabfest, of course!
Jeff has a hankering for a Speedo, Brad ate some tapioca for the first time, June has found the smells interesting, JP actually recognized where we were going from when he was here more than 2 years ago, Arimar rode in my lap in the taxi, and me, I’m just tired!
