Wow! What a weekend!
I’ve been running as hard as I could this whole weekend and now, at 11:00 p.m. on Sunday night, its finally over.
First, on Saturday, a Lifepoint Dream Team ho-down from 8:30 – 1:45.
Running out of there, we headed to Carolina Beach to baptize a friend of ours, Alex, who’d accepted Jesus a few weeks ago, only to find out that her friend and roommate Brittany wanted a piece of the action. She accepted Jesus and all three of us headed out into the waves for some “holy water.” I just love doing that!
Still dripping, we ran home, changed and headed to Erin’s car wash. Its hard to characterize carwashes as successful… this one was! I’ll have more to say about this tomorrow.
We scooted from the carwash to hear a remarkable fellow by the name of Leif Hetland preach. Amazing!
Home by shortly after 11:00 p.m.
Up at 5:30 a.m. to get ready for setup at Lifepoint. Always an adventure, today was no exception! The place was rockin’. Pastor Jeff was knocking it out of the park, the place was packed and the Starting Point class has turned into a surprise winner. Left a little after 1:00 p.m. to eat, finally getting back to the homestead around 2:30 p.m.
Invited to one of the Brasilian churches in town tonight and ended up preaching (wasn’t planned). I got carried away and shucked the corn big time (don’t turn a pulpit over me if you don’t want me to use it!). We’ve just now gotten home (11:04 p.m.)
Wow! I’m ready to go to work so I can get some rest…
