You’ve got more going for you than you think.

I see a constant parade of folks who do not believe that. They assume the contrary and believe they have proof to back it up. Often, they are quite resilient to my attempts at convincing them otherwise, absolutely assured that their senses confirm the contrary. You can certainly understand. If your body is sick and if it has been cursed by someone whom you have given the power to curse you, then you will accept their pronouncement of the dire straits in which you find yourself. I have watched hundreds of people with cancer, AIDS, diabetes, emphysema, multiple sclerosis, etc., parade through my office in the march of the condemned. “My doctor said” is the curse that has been pronounced over them. They are now being obedient and fulfilling the prophetic curse by politely dying.

Worse, they now see themselves as useless and they begin to castigate their entire existence.

Here’s a litte tidbit I came across this morning:

God has selected Bezalel son of Uri, son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah. He’s filled him with the Spirit of God, with skill, ability, and know-how for making all sorts of things, to design and work in gold, silver, and bronze; to carve stones and set them; to carve wood, working in every kind of skilled craft. And he’s also made him a teacher, he and Oholiab son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan. He’s gifted them with the know-how needed for carving, designing, weaving, and embroidering in blue, purple, and scarlet fabrics, and in fine linen. They can make anything and design anything.       –Exodus 35:30-35

It doesn’t matter who you are or what is happening/has happened to you. It doesn’t matter if you are dying, going through a divorce, stuck in a sucky job, can’t pay your bills or think yourself ugly and without any redeeming social skills. According the Bezalel Quotient, you are designed with a unique set of skills, talents and purpose that no one else on the face of the earth has. You are the only one who can accomplish that purpose. You have been gifted with the unique skill set that will allow you to be successful. Adopting the words of the Bezalel Quotient, you can make anything and design anything.

For their entire lives Bezalel and his buddy Oholiab were slaves in Egypt. Low men on the totem pole. Their “gifts” were simply appropriated by their owner for his own purposes while Bezalea and Oholiab had no pride or sense of purpose in what they did. Suddenly, the moment God had planned for all eternity breaks on the scene, in the middle of a stinking desert, no less. Bezalel and Oholiab become the men of the hour, having been prepared by everything that had occurred in their lives prior to this day to fulfill this role.

Do not even think that you are any different than they. Your doctor could have cursed you, saying you are dying of cancer; your wife could have left you; you may have lost your job, be bankrupt, be without friends, have anxiety disorder or a thousand other things. That is not you! You have been designed and prepped by the Creator of Everything to change the world.
