On the way to work this morning I managed to find a station that caught my attention as I scanned the dial:

You’ll burn in hell!

Whoa!

The fellow on the radio was riled up. He was attacking the leaving behind of the “old ways,” “the venerable traditions,” and “old time religion.” He was literally condemning everyone to hell. Hell to the left of him, hell to the right of him, hell in front of him, into the mouth of Hell he rode (apologies to Alfred Lord Tennyson).

Seriously, did he honestly expect to convince someone of anything, much less the good news of the abundant life?

I’m sure he was sure he was.
