When David heard about it, he declared, “I vow by the Lord that I and my kingdom are forever innocent of this crime against Abner son of Ner. Joab and his family are the guilty ones. May the family of Joab be cursed in every generation with a man who has open sores or leprosy or who walks on crutches or dies by the sword or begs for food!”
David wasn’t sounding too much like a wimp, was he? Pretty doggone definitive on where he stood on the issue.
As best as I can tell, David considered himself a believer in the living God. Doesn’t quite fit the stereotype of one though, does he? The world paints us as wimpy and way too many of us agree by the way we live that title.
Too many folks claiming the title without the junk to back it up. Tends to water down the whole barrel.
How’s your boldness looking? Pedal to the metal, willing to pay any price or wimpy, wimpy?
